Spring marks the initiation of growth, as well as the culmination of the first quarter of the year when we take stock of progress made and plan for the upcoming months. In January, we made a commitment for 2013—Educating emerging leaders in social impact—for which we can share some updates thanks to a recent article, “What’s Going on at Penn? How the University is Embracing Social Impact Throughout the Curriculum,” published by Generocity, a local, social good news platform.
The newest development is the integration of our knowledge at the Center for High Impact Philanthropy into the curriculum of the Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership (NPL) Program in the School of Social Policy & Practice. This semester, Kat Rosqueta will teach graduate students on “Strategic Management of Nonprofits.”
Another ongoing partnership is one between our Center and the Wharton Social Impact Initiative (formerly the Wharton Program for Social Impact). From the launch of our project on social impact analytics to our current collaborations on impact investing and other evidence-based approaches to social impact, we continue to enhance our guidance with the help of students, staff, and faculty throughout the University.
