In this Toolkit, we profile 12 nonprofits, each providing an example of how philanthropy can achieve greater social impact. Our institutional partners provided our team their due diligence on a selected set of organizations. Our team then independently analyzed each for evidence of impact and cost-effectiveness.
Collectively, the featured organizations work in the United States and around the world on a range of issues, including child and maternal health, education, workforce readiness, housing stability, and community safety. We selected an intentionally diverse set of organizations. They include both small and large, well-established and pilot programs, in varied communities and geographies.
We’ve identified several of the featured programs as pilots, which means they are newer programs or organizations intending to expand beyond their initial site.
